Berlin: Film
Finally getting around to scanning my Hasselblad images from Germany. I am liking a lot of them. Can’t wait to work on em all. Here are some I have gone through.

They happen, sometimes on purpose, sometimes you know about it, and sometimes your film breaks off the roll and won’t wind all the way back in so you have to manually try and wind it back in a leather jacket. They can ruin good shots, but I got some from some recent rolls that I don’t mind, it adds to them and I like it.

After the month shut down of night riding at the velodrome, it is coming back in full force. There will a new class starting at the start of August. Kieron has all the info here so if you want in read up and sign up. Can’t wait! Some of the best times I have at the track are on Wednesday nights that’s for sure. Here are some pictures I took a few weeks back from Wednesday night.

Back from Montana, trip went by really fast. Weather was pretty lousy when we left. The day before there was a thunder storm and downpour happening for a few hrs while we cleaned the boat and put it away. We made the drive back in 20hrs flat this time, with just a few stops for food and gas. Made it back as the sun was rising, always good/tiring to see. Got some film I need to get processed, will post whenever I get that up.

Made the journey out to Whitefish, Montana again this year. The drive up was really easy and fast. We just did a straight shot with no stopping but for gas/food. Got up here and went straight to the river to jump off the bridge into frigid waters, but it woke us right up. Picked up Matt from the airport who came directly from Berlin into the mother land of Montana. Next day went for an awesome bike ride out around the lake and back and then onto the boat for some boating action. Weather is pretty great here, can’t ask for much more. Much more adventuring to go on, as of now there has been tons of fun.

Saturday was the last of the races for the Bob Hansing Memorial Cup Series Sponsors at Encino Velodrome so I went out to join in on the fun. Great show up from the guys that have been coming out on Wednesday night training. Pretty stacked field for the 5′s, it was 14 people deep. The 3/4 field and 1/2 field looked so fast today it was awesome to watch. They also held some Keirin races that I joined in on so I could finish last in, but it was a good warm up…Points, Scratch, and Match sprints to follow, all tough and lots of work. I ended 5th at the end of the day, same as the last 2 times..but, in the end I came out as the best sprinter of the category 5 series!! I was surprised but stoked to get my trophy. All in all, fun series and races, I’ve got one more race then it is time to see if I can get my way into cat 4 races. Aaron came out and took some pictures. Dan, Anthony and Jordan also came out to cheer on. Anthony told me I was embarrassing myself…big words from that almost 4 yr old. Kieron wrote more about it on his blog here.

A few more here

Did some studio time this week with Franco Bicycles to shoot some bikes for them. It was good times, had the Tour de France on the TV while shooting, keeping everything bike related. It was rad because one of the “models” was my bike also. Everything came out great, look for these to come up in a bike magazine soon!
All of them here.

Wandern means walking(I’m pretty sure) and we did lots of it while in Berlin. These are some images that caught my attention while doing so.

Menschen means people in German. All these shots have people in them. The XA is a pretty silent little camera and fairly small so it is nice and inconspicuous.
